In this director job, you will drive the vision and strategy for a segment of our transformational work in K-12 education.  Your role will be to create and integrate a world-class strategy to affect change and scale what works in transformational education.  The Director will be highly collaborative, serve as a subject-matter expert to staff and external audiences, and be a key part of helping us to determine the highest valued opportunities in this critical space.

    Your Responsibilities Include

    • Provide leadership in the creation and integration of a wide-ranging strategy to deliver transformative K-12 education nationwide
    • Drive collaboration, prioritization, and accountability among a philanthropic community of organizations contributing to innovative change in this space
    • Apply a high degree of knowledge of current innovations in K-12 education to drive and inform the identification of the highest value opportunities to engage through grant-making, partnership building, or other collaboration
    • Serve as an internal and external primary representative of this segment of our overall K-12 opportunities portfolio
    • Travel as needed to manage partnerships

     

    Knowledge and Skills You Bring to the Organization

    • 10+ years of experience building and driving strategy, prioritization, and relationship management
    • Exceptional level of understanding of innovation trends in K-12 education and a deep knowledge of the related nuanced and complex challenges in the space
    • Established history of applying sound judgement through critical thinking
    • A demonstrated interest and passion for a multitude of K-12 solutions
    • Ability to establish trust and credibility quickly and build effective relationships both internally and externally
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills and professionalism
    • Enthusiasm and connection to the organizational vision
